Recent analysis of online dating profile pictures by a large dating site has yielded some interesting results. The study involved measuring the number of new contacts a woman received and the number of new meetings a man has after sending out unsolicited hellos based on certain aspects of their profile pictures. The study was performed using a sample of average looking people from large cities.

Reports are coming in that Australian dating sites grew by 5% during 2009. Experts expect the growth to continue with an anticipated 5% to 10% increase in 2010.
Experts claim the increase is due to the high divorce rate, aging population, and the general acceptance of the online dating platform. Those starting relationships are no longer just the younger crowd, and the more mature demographic have definitely embraced the internet. In today’s society people do not always have access to a suitable pool of potential partners and online dating sloves that problem.
Online dating has also shown good results.
